“A garden is one of the simplest ways we know to bring people together — regardless of age, ability or background.”
We’re building a space that’s genuinely shared: somewhere NDIS participants, aged care clients, their families, our support workers and local neighbours can all turn up, get their hands dirty, and be part of something growing.
For many of the people we support, gardening is also a meaningful community access activity — a reason to get outside, build routine, learn new skills, and connect with people outside their usual circle.
Celestial Gardens is being built with the community, not for it from a distance. The plan, the plants and the working bee dates will keep evolving as more people get involved — follow along below, or better yet, come and help shape it.
