We’re excited to share that iCare4U is building Celestial Gardens, a community garden — a shared space where NDIS participants, aged care clients, their families, our support workers, and local neighbours can come together to grow something real.
Why we’re doing this
Community access and social connection are a huge part of what we do every day — and a garden is one of the simplest, most genuine ways to bring people together, regardless of age or ability. For many of the people we support, working in a garden is also a meaningful, therapeutic community access activity: a reason to get outside, build a routine, learn something new, and meet people outside their usual circle.
Where things are at
We’re in the early stages of getting the garden underway. Rather than plan it entirely ourselves and present a finished product, we want the wider community involved from the ground up — which plants go where, what the space is used for, and who gets involved.
